
The woman featured in most of these photographs is my grandmother Gladys Bowen Chilton. Gladys was born in 1905 and grew up in southern New Jersey. But it was at a camp called The Pines in Pennsylvania where my grandmother spent time as a counselor and later as the camp director. -D.C.
